ABOUT KING WAWA

Currently living in the Oakland, California area, King Wawa is an accomplished singer, percussionist, actor, guitarist and songwriter, he has grown up performing Reggae, Carribean, Latin, and World Music.  King Wawa lived in the neighborhood of the most popular musical groups including Nemour Jean Baptiste , the creator of the "Compas Direct" style of music that most African/Carribean/Latin bands play.  His love and gift for music quickly distinguished him in the African/Carribean/Latin music scene where he frequently played Afro-Caribbean music and African/Carribean/Latin popular music with many well-established local and international bands.  His diverse musical background also proved most valuable at the Salesians Vocational School where he was an instructor of percussion.
